Detectives from the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region have completed a pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment against a group of seven individuals to court. Among them are officials from one of the regional divisions of the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including its head, as well as directors of several private companies.
The investigation established that at the end of 2022, the perpetrators arranged for the supply of army beds that did not meet the established technical specifications. Without conducting a tender, they concluded a contract for the purchase of 1,400 bunk beds at a price significantly higher than the market value.

The losses to the state budget from these actions exceed UAH 2.7 million. During the pre-trial investigation, the damages were partially compensated.
Based on the evidence gathered, the actions of the group members were classified under Parts 2, 3, and 5 of Article 27 and Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organization of embezzlement and aiding and abetting in the embezzlement of another's property through abuse of official position, committed by an organized group, under martial law and on an especially large scale).
The criminal proceedings, along with the indictment, were sent to court.
Operational support was provided by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region and the Strategic Investigations Department in Vinnytsia region under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense in the Southern Region.
