In Lviv Oblast, a man set up the production of counterfeit alcohol. The underground workshop was exposed by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Lviv region.
The suspect manufactured vodka of various brands and attached counterfeit excise stamps to the bottles. Everything took place in regular outbuildings—where alcohol, concentrates, and finished products were also stored.

During the search, detectors seized 366 bottles of counterfeit vodka, 2,200 liters of alcohol and alcohol mixture, 14.5 liters of cognac and whiskey concentrate, as well as equipment—hoses, funnels, an alcohol meter, and empty containers.
The pretrial investigation is being carried out under part 1 of article 199 (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for sale of excise goods) and part 2 of article 204 (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for sale of counterfeit alcoholic beverages) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The procedural oversight is carried out by prosecutors of the Lviv Oblast Prosecutor's Office. Operational support is provided by the SSU Directorate in the Lviv region.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of conviction.
