During an educational event for students of the Faculty of Economics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, representatives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine familiarized future specialists with modern mechanisms of financial risk analysis, detection of economic offenses, and tools to counter the shadow economy.
Students were introduced to the specifics of the work of the ESBU's analytical and detective units, modern mechanisms for detecting economic offenses, and the role of analytics in ensuring the country's economic security.
The future economists were also presented with practical case studies on uncovering illegal financial schemes and were explained the principles of analyzing financial operations, detecting risky transactions, and documenting criminal activity, as well as the specifics of interagency cooperation in countering economic threats.
In addition, students were briefed on internship and training opportunities at the ESBU, the stages of the competitive selection process, and professional development prospects. The youth were urged to focus on developing analytical thinking, digital skills, and the ability to process large amounts of data.
The event was held in an open dialogue format. Students actively inquired about the specifics of serving in the ESBU, the work of analysts and detectives, and career opportunities in the field of economic security.
Engaging with youth and higher education institutions is an essential component of preparing future specialists capable of working amid modern economic challenges, analyzing financial risks, and strengthening the economic security of the state.
