Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, met with Daniel R. Bischof, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, and representatives of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL Justice) program. During the meeting, Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi presented the Bureau's performance results, outlined the progress of personnel reform, and detailed further steps for implementing the agency's new development strategy.

The ESBU Director identified the fight against smuggling, de-shadowing the economy, countering tax evasion, monitoring the circulation of excise goods, and developing a legal gambling business as priority areas of work for 2026.
Daniel R. Bischof, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, noted the ESBU's results in countering the smuggling of electronic devices and expressed readiness to facilitate cooperation with relevant partners in the United States.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the further development of the ESBU's activities, the strengthening of its analytical component, and international cooperation in combating economic crimes.
Special attention was paid to veteran policy. The U.S. Embassy representative supported the initiative to involve war veterans in the ESBU's operations and expressed readiness to share relevant experience.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain constant communication and strengthen cooperation in the identified areas.
