Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Poltava region have exposed and shut down the activities of two illegal gas stations in the city of Pavlohrad.
The investigation established that local residents organized the illegal business. They sold gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) purchased from underground manufacturers without quality certificates or documents of origin. Additionally, the gas stations operated without the necessary licenses for the sale of excisable goods.

Within the framework of the pre-trial investigation, ESBU detectives conducted authorized searches at both illegal trade facilities. They seized gasoline, containers with liquefied gas, reservoirs, fuel dispensers, and funds obtained from illegal activities. An arrest has been placed on the seized property.
The pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of the Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal storage and sale of excisable goods) is ongoing. Procedural guidance in the criminal proceedings is carried out by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.

At the same time, the illegal gas stations in Pavlohrad are not an isolated case. Over the course of a month, ESBU detectives seized more than 51,000 liters of fuel of dubious origin in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. In particular, 16.5 thousand liters of diesel fuel, 20.5 thousand liters of gasoline, and over 14 thousand liters of liquefied gas.
The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine continues its systemic work on the de-shadowing of the fuel market and the liquidation of illegal schemes that threaten the economic security of the state, as well as the life and health of citizens.
