Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Vinnytsia region have exposed tax evasion by an enterprise engaged in the wholesale of food products. Thanks to the measures taken, the damages caused to the state budget have been recovered in full.
The investigation revealed that between 2024 and 2025, the company committed a series of tax law violations, resulting in financial losses to the state. Specifically, the director failed to charge value-added tax (VAT) when writing off goods that were not used in business activities.
Additionally, she unlawfully included VAT settlements that were not supported by primary documents in the tax credit. The total amount of unpaid taxes exceeded UAH 5 million.
Criminal proceedings were registered under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—intentional tax evasion committed by an official of an enterprise, resulting in the actual non-receipt of significant amounts of funds to the budgets.
Thanks to the collected evidence, the director's guilt was fully proven. At this time, the damages caused have been reimbursed to the budget in full. The criminal case has been referred to court.
Procedural supervision is carried out by the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
