Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Poltava region have exposed and shut down an illegal gas station in one of the local villages.
The investigation established that the gas station had been operating for over a year without any permits or licenses, selling fuel of unknown origin.
Previously, the gas station had operated legally, holding all necessary licenses and quality certificates. However, after the retail fuel license expired, operations were not halted; the sale of gasoline, diesel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) continued illegally.

Furthermore, the enterprise began purchasing fuel without any documentation confirming its origin or quality.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, detectives conducted searches on the premises of the gas station. Approximately UAH 100,000 in cash, up to 1,000 liters of diesel fuel, and nearly 2,500 liters of gasoline were seized.
Additionally, 3,300 liters of liquefied petroleum gas, an 8-nozzle fuel dispenser, a gas dispenser, and fuel storage tanks were sealed. The property has been placed under seizure.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, and sale of excisable goods).
Procedural guidance in the criminal proceedings is provided by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.
