Detectives from the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region have completed a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings into the evasion of personal income tax and military tax during the sale of real estate.
According to the pre-trial investigation, the suspect sold eight land plots, 12 residential buildings, and 18 apartments over a period of five years. She received cash from buyers, did not declare the income received, and did not pay personal income tax or military tax.
As a result of these actions, the state budget lost more than UAH 4.6 million.
During the pre-trial investigation, the detectives of the ESBU ensured full compensation for the losses incurred by the state. The funds have already been paid to the state budget.
The suspect has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of taxes, fees, and other mandatory payments). The criminal proceedings have been referred to the court with a request for exemption from criminal liability in connection with compensation for the damage caused on the basis of Part 4 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
