Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Odesa region exposed a company whose officials set up exports of soya beans without paying taxes.

Agricultural products were purchased for cash without reflecting this in the accounting and tax reports. At the same time they used controlled companies to export soybeans.

In this way the company evaded taxes on a particularly large scale.

During the searches of the warehouses where soybeans were transshipped the detectives of the Territorial Department found and seized almost 4,000 tonnes of beans, computer equipment and primary financial and business documents.

The seized property worth UAH 53 million was seized by the Kyiv District Court of Odesa.

The pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings under Part 3 Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Odesa region under the supervision of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
