Analysts of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Kyiv found that the energy company claimed VAT refunds in the amount of UAH 36 million.

During the analytical study the Territorial Department identified a number of risks that could affect the amount of this budget refund.

For example it was found that the company's main production facilities are located in the temporarily occupied territory of one of the regions of Ukraine and the company itself is included in the register of risky taxpayers.

Analysts of the ESBU sent information about the identified risks to the Kyiv City State Tax Service.

Based on the results of the unscheduled inspection having examined all primary accounting documents for transactions with business entities, the ESBU drew up a relevant act and denied the said company a budget refund.

Thus analysts of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Kyiv prevented an attempt to illegally refund VAT from the budget in the amount of over UAH 36 million.
