Main tasks:

• Organization of legal work aimed at the correct application, strict compliance, and prevention of non-compliance with the requirements of legislation, and other normative acts of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region and its employees during the performance of assigned tasks and functional duties.
• Self-representation of the interests of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region its officials and employees in courts without a separate mandate from the management of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region as well as self-representation of interests of ESBU (if there is a separate mandate) in courts.

Functions:

• Organizes and participates in ensuring the correct application of the law during self-representation of the interests of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region its officials and employees in courts without a separate order from the management of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region and self-representation of the ESBU interests (if a separate order is available) in courts.
• Verifies compliance with the legislation and international treaties of Ukraine of draft orders and other documents submitted for signature to the Head of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region conducts legal expertise of draft orders and instructions and provides conclusions based on the results of their review. Approve (visas) them if the heads of the interested structural units of the TO of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region have visas.
• Checks for compliance with the current legislation of draft letters and other documents submitted for signature to the Head of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region.
• Examines projects of orders on core activities, personnel issues, and personnel orders of the TO of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region.
• Considers drafts of documents received for approval on issues that are within the competence of the TO of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region and prepares proposals for them.
• Informs the Head of the TO of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region about the need to take measures to amend orders and other documents, recognize them as having lost their validity, or cancel them.
• Considers applications, complaints, requests of individuals and legal entities, appeals and requests of people's deputies, and requests for obtaining public information.
• Summarizes the practice of the application of legislation on issues that belong to the competence of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region, develops proposals for the improvement of legislative acts, acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, normative legal acts of ministries and submits them to the ESBU in the established manner.
• Checks the state of legal work in the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region and submits proposals for the consideration of the Head of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region regarding its improvement, elimination of deficiencies in the legal provision of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region, takes measures to implement the latest forms and methods of the Sector's activity, execution of acts Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
• Provides legal advice to employees and managers of structural subdivisions of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region regarding the correct application of legislation, as well as clarification of the application of legislation during the performance of tasks and functional duties assigned to them.
• Analyzes the materials received from law enforcement and control bodies, the results of legal proceedings, as well as statistical reporting data obtained as a result of inspections, audits, and inventories, which characterize the state of compliance with the legality of the TO of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region, prepares legal conclusions based on the facts of detected violations and participates in the organization of damage compensation work.
