Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine completed the investigation and sent an indictment to the court for tax evasion against the head of the company, which is part of the group of companies of the largest private investor in the energy industry.

A lawsuit has been filed for compensation for damages caused to the state, namely non-payment of taxes in the amount of UAH 14.4 million.

It was established that in 2016 officials of this company led by the general director, for a long time displayed invalid business transactions for the purchase of sunflower oil from enterprises with signs of fictitiousness and its subsequent export. Despite the fact that the main activity of the company is coal mining.

Using the so-called "untypical export" scheme, the parties involved in the case evaded payment of VAT in the amount of UAH 14.4 million.

In order to ensure compensation for the damages caused to the state, at the request of the ESBU detective, agreed with the prosecutor of the General Prosecutor's Office, a seizure was imposed on the company's corporate rights in the amount of UAH 1 million and cash stored in the company's accounts.

Pretrial investigation in criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 212, Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was carried out by detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Office of the General Prosecutor.
