Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine exposed the head and accountant of one of the State Forestry Enterprises of Ukraine in tax evasion.

Employees of the ESBU established that from September to December 2022, officials of one of the forestry enterprises, acting by prior conspiracy, failed to pay personal income tax when paying wages. Such actions resulted in a shortfall of funds totaling over UAH 4.8 million to the local budget.

Detectives of the ESBU served a notice of suspicion to the head and accountant of the forestry. The case has now been sent to court with a request for release from criminal liability in connection with full compensation of losses in the amount of over UAH 4.8 million and fines in the amount of over UAH 1.6 million.

Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office provided procedural guidance.
