Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine exposed a group of persons who organized illegal activities in the production of fuel from petroleum products of unknown origin without the appropriate permit documents. Gasoline and diesel were sold through a network of controlled gas stations in Kyiv.

Detectives of the ESBU searched the territory of the capital gas stations and seized 22 tons of liquid with a characteristic smell of fuel. Gas station equipment was also dismantled.

The estimated value of the seized oil products is about UAH 1 million the value of the seized equipment is over UAH 4 million.

Currently the necessary investigative actions are being carried out, the full range of persons involved in the crime and other illegal gas stations are being established.

The pre-trial investigation under Part. 1, 2 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is carried out by the detectives of the main unit of detectives of ESBU under the operational support of employees of the Department of Internal Security and Protection of Employees of Security Intelligence Service.
