On September 3, the Director of the Economic Security Bureau Vadym Melnyk held a second working meeting with representatives of the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM).
The meeting resulted in the agreements reached on the creation of a working group to promote the prompt launching of the Economic Security Bureau, transparent personnel selection and the introduction of European approaches for the high-quality implementation of the analytical and law enforcement functions of the ESBU. The EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM) is ready to provide extensive support to the ESBU, including methodological, expert, training and technical assistance, IT and digital algorithms, information and analytical products, assistance in establishing international cooperation between the ESBU and EU countries.
“Together, we will launch a new service-analytical body, the effective work of which will improve the business climate in Ukraine, increase investment attractiveness and minimize the phenomenon of cross-border economic crimes. I am grateful for the support of European partners and interest in modernizing the economic security system of Ukraine”, - Vadym Melnyk said.
Since 2014, the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM) has been supporting Ukraine's state authorities in consistent reforming of the civil security sector through strategic advice and practical support for reform activities in accordance with EU standards and international principles of good governance and human rights.
