The Director of the Economic Security Bureau Vadym Melnyk held a working meeting with members of the US House of Representatives Juan Vargas and Brian Fitzpatrick, during which he spoke about his ideas of ensuring the economic security of Ukraine and the concept of the Bureau’s work. The meeting took place as part of the IX National Prayer Breakfast, which brought together representatives of 15 countries of the world.

“It is vital for me to stress that the Bureau will build relations with business at a new level and focus on the analytical component to improve the business climate in Ukraine and protect the rights of investors. At the same time, the ESBU is working to integrate Ukraine into international platforms to fight the phenomena of cross-border economic crimes to minimize such manifestations.

New principles and approaches to protecting the economic interests of the state, the system of public finance and interaction with business will become the basis for the functioning of the ESBU. We have to create a ‘superstructure’ by joint efforts, involving the expert and business environment and international partners, the existing benefit of the doubt must be converted into a long-term result", - Vadym Melnyk said.
