Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Kyiv region secured UAH 4.8 million of unpaid taxes to the state budget.

The investigation established that during 2023, the company's officials evaded payment of value added tax in the amount of UAH 4.8 million in the course of financial and economic activities. The company's main activity is the trade in building materials.

The director of the company was served a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

During the pre-trial investigation the detectives of the ESBU ensured that the company compensated the state for the losses in full. The money has already been paid to the budget.

The Prosecutor General's Office is in charge of the proceedings.

As a reminder, recently the employees of the ESBU in Kyiv region exposed a developer who failed to pay UAH 15 million in taxes.
