Analysts of the ESBU constantly analyze tender procurements in the country. Since the beginning of this year alone the Bureau's experts have prevented the embezzlement of more than UAH 1.3 billion in budget funds. For comparison, in 2022, this amount was UAH 270.8 million.

The most common violations include procurement of goods and services at inflated prices, suppliers' non-compliance with tender requirements, inappropriate public procurement and violations of the procedure.

Upon detection of each such fact the Bureau's analysts send letters of recommendation to government agencies, local governments and budget managers/recipients regarding the identified procurement risks.

As a rule tender purchases are canceled and contracts for the supply of goods or services are terminated or renegotiated on better terms.
