Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau in the Odesa region shut down two illegal gambling halls. Currently, 4 offenders have been served a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense.

The investigation established that the illegal gambling facilities were located on the first floors of residential buildings in the center of Odesa. They operated around the clock and had no signs or outdoor advertising. It was possible to get inside only by calling in advance.

The gambling halls operated without establishing a legal entity and the necessary licenses, and therefore did not pay taxes.

During the searches at the addresses of the gambling halls, detectives seized more than 70 sets of computer equipment, mobile phones, cash, draft records, etc. The estimated value of the seized equipment is UAH 3.3 million.

The procedural supervision is carried out by prosecutors of the Odesa Region Prosecutor's Office.
