ESBU hosted a meeting of Acting Director Andrii Pashchuk with Margus Gering representative of the Estonian Center for International Development (ESTDEV) and Tarmo Kohv, special representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine.
The head of the Bureau presented the functions, tasks and priorities in the work of the body. And he also noted that these include the detection and investigation of offenses related to the receipt and use of international technical assistance.
Margus Gering in his turn said that the Estonian Center for International Development will contribute to the development of the Unified Information System of the ESBU in particular by involving Estonian companies or other donor organizations of both Estonia and the EU.
At the same time Tarmo Kohv proposed establishing cooperation between the ESBU and the Criminal Police of Estonia whose functions include the fight against economic crime.
According to the participants of the meeting these steps will strengthen the protection of the EU's financial interests and the fight against economic crimes in Ukraine.
