Maksym Kuterha, Deputy Director for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, met with representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine (EUAM).
The participants of the meeting discussed the architecture of the Unified Information System of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (UIS ESBU), which should be a single modular information platform based on a multiservice architecture with unified software and hardware development tools and the use of modern web-oriented, service-oriented and geoinformation technologies.
They also discussed cybersecurity in times of war and the prospect of introducing cloud technologies in the development of the system.
According to Vygantas Ivanauskas, EUAM Senior Communications and Information Systems Adviser, it is now necessary to pay attention to legislative changes that should take place in parallel with the development of the system and to analyse the experience of other law enforcement agencies in building data centres.
‘A Unified Information System is really important for your institution. Therefore, we welcome the steps forward that have already been taken. The ESBU is moving in the right direction, which we share and support. In turn, EUAM experts are ready to assist the ESBU in its further development of the UIS ESBU in every possible way,’ said Ivanauskas.
Earlier, the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine presented a model of the Unified Information System. In developing the technical requirements for the UIS, ESBU experts consulted with representatives of leading Ukrainian and global companies, as well as experts from the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM) and the Estonian Centre for International Development.
