Analysts of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine will have access to the information contained in the Sectoral information and telecommunication system of Electronic timber accounting, Winforstpro - Ukraine. The regulated access was discussed during a meeting between Eduard Fedorov, Acting Director of the Bureau and Viktor Smal, head of the State agency of forest resources of Ukraine.

"ESBU is constantly developing its capabilities to identify potential and real threats to the economy. New analytical products will improve the situational awareness of our analysts and increase the efficiency of interagency information exchange," said Eduard Fedorov.

The head of the State forestry agency spoke about the system's operation, challenges in the industry, including shadow timber, illegal logging and timber trade and changes to be made to the legislation governing forestry and hunting.

For reference: The electronic timber accounting system is designed to organize logistics, accounting and control of timber harvesting and processing. It consists of two interconnected components:

- Central-level software "Sectoral information and telecommunication system "Electronic timber accounting. Winforstpro-Ukraine";

- Mobile software for handheld personal computers "Winforst Pro Mobile Ukraine".
