Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Odesa region served a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense to the manager and four administrators of a network of gambling halls.

The investigation identified a group of people who organized a network of illegal gambling halls providing access to gambling and lotteries on the Internet. The establishments were located on the first floors of high-rise buildings and kiosks in Odesa.

As a result of the searches the law enforcement officers found and seized UAH 40 thousand, 53 monitors, 46 system units, 44 computer desks, 15 routers, 2 cash registers and 2 detectors for checking banknotes, 11 CCTV cameras other office equipment and draft records. The total value of the seized items is over UAH 1.3 million.

Currently the organizer and four persons involved in the illegal gambling network were served a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense stipulated by Part 2 Art. 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal activities in organizing or conducting gambling, lotteries).

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Odesa region under the supervision of the Odesa region Prosecutor's Office.
