Analysts of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Lviv region have warned against the inefficient use of UAH 16.8 million from the local budget.
One of the local self-government bodies intended to spend UAH 18.5 million of budget funds to improve the state of the reservoir.
However, during the study of the tender offer of the only participant, the ESBU analysts found that the winner did not meet the qualification criteria set by the customer.
In particular, the participant did not confirm the experience of performing similar works, which is an unconditional reason for rejecting the tender offer.
In the recommendation letter addressed to the head of the local self-government body, the ESBU employees also emphasized the inadmissibility of non-critical expenditures in the conditions of martial law.
At the same time, information on the detected violations of legislation during public procurement was sent to the Western Office of the State Audit Service for consideration during procurement monitoring.
Thanks to the work of the Bureau's analysts, the contract on the performance of works at the reservoir was terminated. The cost of already completed and partially paid works amounted to UAH 1.7 million. Thus, UAH 16.8 million was saved in the local budget.
