Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Poltava region completed the investigation into abuse of office by the former director of one of the utility companies of the Poltava City Council.

The investigation established that in 2021, the utility company announced public procurement for equipment for school cafeterias and food products for 40 educational institutions in Poltava.

The expected value of the orders specified in the tender documents significantly exceeded the market prices. However the director of the utility company held tenders and signed contracts with private companies.

In this way she caused UAH 2.2 million of material damage to the utility company. Currently a civil lawsuit in criminal proceedings has been filed for her compensation. The case was referred to the court.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Poltava region. Procedural management is the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.
