• collection of high-quality materials and registration of violations of tax legislation and other abuses involving enterprises whose owners or beneficiaries are citizens of russia or belarus;

• ensuring the economic security of the region by preventing, detecting, terminating, and investigating criminal offenses affecting the functioning of the state's economy as a whole;

• countering the embezzlement of budget funds and the fight against the legalization of income obtained through criminal means, working out customers, winners or suppliers of the winners of public procurements who are involved in embezzlement schemes of budget funds;

• collection and analysis of information about offenses in the budget, tax and customs spheres of the Odesa region's economy, which affect the economic security of the state, and determination of ways to prevent their occurrence in the future;
